TECHNICAL SPECIFACTIONS OF THE PROMINENCE VIEWER:
I designed my prominence viewer according to the descriptions and calculations published by G. Nemec in “Sterne und Weltaum” , 12/75. The following components are used:
Auxilary Lens: 40mm diameter, f=80mm, plano-convex, made by LINOS Photonics, Göttingen
Apertures: set of 11 pieces for the off-axis mode, diameter range from 12.42 to 12.02mm, conical
  Material: Alumimium alloy, partly anodised, home-built
Iris: 1.0mm to 14.0mm diameter, mounted on flange, made by OWIS
Objective-2: f=85mm, used of an old slide projector
Halpha-filter: 24mm diameter, Bandwith at 50% Transmission: 1.04nm; Peak Transmission 53.08%,
